Rachel Tait

Programme manager - Inspiring Impact, New Philanthropy Capital

Aude Charillon

Rachel is a Senior Consultant and Programme Manager in NPC’s Research and Consulting team.

She leads a collaborative, UK-wide programme called Inspiring Impact which offers free peer networks, online tools and grant funding to help charities and social enterprises improve their impact practice. Rachel is in the midst of a programme merger to combine Inspiring Impact with the Impact Management Programme. The combined programme will focus on the day-to-day challenges faced by smaller organisations. Their new website will share real examples and practical advice for how people collect, analyse and use data to make decisions. Peer networks will bring practitioners and leaders together across the UK to learn from each other.

Beyond Inspiring Impact, Rachel’s current research focus is homelessness and how philanthropists can tackle the issue. She also consults on measurement and evaluation projects with NPC’s charity clients.

Before joining NPC, Rachel spent four years working for the youth social action charity Student Hubs. She was put in charge of learning & evaluation, and (like a lot of the charity sector!) used an adhoc mix of online resources, free training and trial and error to improve how the charity collected, analysed and used data across all levels of the organisation.
